Google analytics course
November 6, 2007
I just learned that ROI Revolution is offering a $100 discount High Rankings discount by simply typing “highrankings” into the discount code field when you register. Its live and on demand. It covers
Module #1: Basic Implementation
Module #2: Advanced Implementation
Module #3: Troubleshooting
Module #4: The General Google Analytics Interface
Module #5: Visitor Information and Ecommerce Data
Module #6: Marketing Resources and Techniques
My only criticism would be that there were a few instances where they zipped
through some things fairly quickly, which left me feeling a bit perplexed;
however, I understand that is to be expected since they were trying to cover
so much in a 6-week course. Since I could get my questions answered during
the live chat or Q&A session, it never was really a problem.
I recently received ROI Revolution’s newsletter that highlighted a new tool they’ve been working on to track Google Analytics ROI. However be warned that it’s just for e-commerce.
If you have a lead generation site, How can you calculate your revenue once your lead is acquired? Its effectiveness is limited here.
If you currently use Google Analytics for PPC, tracking or site optimization then this is well worth having a look at. Included are the steps to setup a non-AdWords ROI Calculation based off of Google Analytics data. Both the Excel 1997-2003 and 2007 are available for download and are well worth it. Enjoy!
Leveraging Wordtracker
November 6, 2007
For those new to SEM wordtracker is a uniquely useful tool to help marketers identify appropriate keywords and keyword phrases to describe and promote their site online. WordTracker attempts to calculate and the actual “demand” for a specific keyword/keyphrase by reporting two different values:-Count: The number of times each result has appeared in WordTracker’s database in the last 2 months.
-Predicted: The maximum total predicted traffic for all of the major search engines/pay per bids and directories. It is based on the current 24-hour period.
In short, WordTracker is a tool that will help you immensely in choosing the keywords that are not only right for your products and services, but are the most advantageous for your particular ad campaign. It is simple to use, yet the information it provides is quick, accurate, and managed extremely well. It takes almost all the guesswork out of which keywords are going to be most effective by showing you what keywords people are using when they are searching out your type of business.
Finally, once on the basis of the above values you have selected your final set of keywords and keyphrases, you can utilize WordTracker to measure the actual supply, and demand- to-supply ratio (KEI) for each and everyone of those keyword combinations.
WordTracker actually allows you to measure the unique ratio between demand and supply of specific keywords and keyphrases providing a statistical and objective mean to identify effective terminology to bring relevant targeted customers to your Web site.
